About 6 months ago I took a hard look at my beloved Elomi Matilda bras and realized they needed to be replaced after a year of heavy use. I loved the Matilda except that the decorative dots and seams were visible under jersey dresses and t-shirts. Wanting a smooth look, I purchased the Amelia t-shirt bra in the nude color in size 36HH. It retails for $78.

The Amelia is a two-part construction bra that has only one seam covered by a lace panel. It comes in band sizes 34-46 and cup sizes DD to HH. The Amelia is available in black and nude. I love the smooth look of this bra under my tee-shirts and dresses. Like every Elomi bra I have worn the wires are wide and extend deep into the side. There are three hooks and eyes on the band in my size.

The Amelia is a molded cup and if you have different sized breasts one cup might be spilling over the tiniest bit. I feel that the Matilda bra offered a touch more lift than Amelia but for me the smooth look makes up for it. After five months of use the stretch lace on Amelia has accumulated some fuzz balls but these can be easily removed. There are not a lot of options for a seam free molded cup bra in an HH cup and the Amelia really fills this void wonderfully.

For me Elomi bras just fit well and are pain free. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity at a Curve Expo show to be fitted by Freddy Zappe into my current Elomi size. Before meeting Freddy who is the national fit director for Eveden Inc. (maker of Fantasie, Freya, Elomi and Goddess). I truly believed as a full busted woman that my bra causing pain was just my lot in life. So, it’s very exciting to share that Frederika Zappe has been honored with the Education Excellence Award at the National Intimate Apparel Awards co-hosted by the Curve Expo for her work running the Fit School at the Curve Expo. Unfortunately, not everyone can be fitted by Freddy at the Fit School but the education that she teaches during her Fit School to lingerie retailers is invaluable especially for fuller busted women that struggle to find the proper size.
