Last week I focused on lingerie but this week it’s all about bras. I was excited to see the Panache booth, as they have been my favorite brand for years. Specifically, the Andorra is the bra you will usually find me wearing. Besides basic black and white, the Andorra has been offered in pastel toned versions of Tangerine and Teal. Imagine the joy when I saw that they will soon offer the Andorra in an eye-popping orange and several other bold colors. We will also have options such as this beauty, that are much more detailed and reminded me of a burlesque show.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of Curve was Curvy Kate. A woman that can sit with me and talk about G-K bras without notes but through experience will always catch my attention. The CK professional went through their look book with me and not only discussed what is currently being offered but also issues that certain shaped women, especially in the larger sizes, have with bras. I never felt like she was “selling” to me. If we’d had tea it would’ve been just two busty ladies having a talk over tea…and crumpets…we’d need crumpets.

I fell in love with the Carmen bra. It is a Black/Boysenberry longline that actually goes up to a J cup! I normally am afraid to try longline bras because it isn’t that often they come in my size and the ones that do are sometimes quite plain. Also, I am rather short waisted so I’ve always thought that a longline would make me look “stumpy”. Thankfully, Curvy Kate uses more than one model to present the Carmen and one of them seems to be shorter waisted and looking fab! Finding this sexy piece has convinced me to try it out as soon as possible.

I spoke about the Ritzy Babydoll in Ruby/Spice last week and the bra is just as special. I am a sucker for a great red and this one delivers! I don’t think this would work for me (full on top) under a shirt that doesn’t have a lower neckline. Â Too much moving around would cause my cup to runneth over. However, with the right clothing (or without the clothes) the Ritzy could be a show stopper!

As much as I enjoyed my first Curve Expo, I also learned a lot. Next year I will need to be sure to charge both my cell phone and my camera and bring BOTH. I missed out on getting pictures of some of the items I liked because my phone died. Also, I will make sure to carve out more time to just explore and take full advantage of my press pass.
