One of Hourglassy ‘s biggest goals is to make getting dressed a highlight of your day by alerting you to great clothing options available to you. You first met Jill Homiak last May when she wrote about her mother’s influence on the development of her line. Since then, she’s launched a line of wrap blouses that you won’t find anywhere else. I’ve asked her to describe them in today’s post. For more background, you also should check out her post on the Butterfly Collection Blog, where she describes an HR encounter that none of us want to have.
I have the honor of posting on Hourglassy – one of the best resources for “busties” of all sizes! I’m writing to introduce to Presenza – a line of patent-pending wrap tops designed to fit the chest! Being a buxom female (I’m a size 12 with a 36DDD or 34FF depending on the bra), I never found the balance of style and professional attire be sononomous. I really couldn’t take it any longer and I knew there had to be a stylish solution that was simple.
In my research to determine what I would design, I realized the wrap top is one of the quintessential styles for a women with a full chest. Yet, at the same time, I had never found one to actually cover the chest properly! I knew I had to come up with a solution to the problem – that’s how Presenza was born. You can adjust coverage across the bust, allowing you to individualize the fit. There is a button underneath the armpit – it can be opened to allow for 2 additional inches of fabric coverage – that’s the patent-pending feature.

Your Fellow “Bustie”,
Do you have any plans to make a wrap top that doesn’t have puffy sleeves? The ones on your site look lovely, but my wide shoulders, small head, and large bust mean that I just can’t wear puffy sleeves without looking ridiculous. I’d love to see a non-puffy style, because I love this wrap look!
Thanks for the feedback!!! Yes – we have a wrap dress in the works as we speak that will not have puffy sleeves. If you look at the grey wrap, the sleeves, while not completely “clean”, are not puffy. The fabric drapes nicely and the weight of the rayon silk blend doesn’t allow for puffy sleeves.
I have wide shoulders too, but the puffy sleeve actually draws the eye up to the face, and away from the bust. But if you aren’t comfortable in that style, it makes sense that you wouldn’t gravitate towards that particular style.
Let me know if you have other thoughts or questions.
