You might remember this textured jersey blazer from my dressing room selfies post last month when I wrote that it was too hot out to buy warm weather clothes. It finally got cold in NYC and the cold coupled with the 20% off coat and jacket sale that Bravissimo had a few weeks ago got me in the store to buy the textured jersey blazer for $100 (the full price is $125). My dress is also from Bravissimo and on sale! (I purchased the dress in 14 Really/Super Curvy in US sizing).
I first tried on the 14 Super Curvy (in US sizing) but ended up buying the 12 Super Curvy as it felt like a trendier fit to me. The blazer has stretch in it which enabled me to size down (I’m 5’7 and measure 49.5-39-46). The color is called Midnight and it is a very dark navy. The weave of the fabric gives it a more polished look than most ponte or jersey blazers.
If you’ve ever been to a London museum during the school year you will have seen the children trotting about in the their adorable blazers. This blazer totally makes me feel like a preppy school girl about to get into some mischief. I’m planning to wear this with dresses and with jeans all winter long. Do any of you have a favorite blazer or jacket for winter?
