Is an expensive bra really worth it?  I’m going to find out.

Two new bras are soaking in my bathroom sink right now:  a 34G Empreinte Kaela and a 36G Wacoal Alluring.  The Kaela costs between $140-170, depending upon where you purchase it, and the Alluring costs $55 everywhere.

As you know, I’ve wanted to wear the Kaela for a while.  The Alluring, on the other hand, was not on my list at all.  I found it while scouting lingerie stores during my vacation in Maine.  It fit perfectly, so I bought it.

For the next year, I plan to wear both bras the same amount of time per week and to wash them together.  I will enter their measurements into Bratabase this week, and at the end of the year, I’ll take their measurements again and compare.  Look for periodic updates on their similarities and differences.

Right now, though, I’d better go rinse my two new lovelies and blot and lay them to dry.
