Fuller Bust clothing companies sadly go out of business far too often. I’m sure most of you know that Bravissimo stopped selling clothing in January of this year, thankfully they are still open and selling lingerie, swimwear, and nightwear. I love their new Flora Nightdress style.
And I could see myself wearing the Flora PJ Top with jeans.
The good news is that we learned from Bravissimo that there are some new fuller bust options in the UK. The retailer Next sells fuller bust Denim Jackets in UK sizes 8 to 28 and petite fuller bust denim jackets in sizes 6P to 20P in dark blue and mid blue.
They also sell a Puff Sleeve Denim Shirt in mid blue in sizes 6 to 28.
There are not many sizes left, but Next also offers a Faux Leather Biker Jacket in fuller bust sizing.
Next is located in the UK and ships to a large list of countries.
Next up is Fairlie Curved, a new company based in Scotland and started by a woman named Jayne. In her final year at university 20 years ago, she designed and produced a fuller bust clothing company. During a garage clean-out during lockdown, she was inspired to start Fairlie Curved when she came across her old university work. My favorites from Fairlie Curved are:
Fairlie Curved offers international tracked shipping from the UK starting at £18.99.
As well, this past Friday, Hourglassy favorite Urkye dropped new colors in the short sleeved Koperta dress: rhodonite, poseidon, and rose violet.
As well as black and deep green.
Have any of you purchased from Next or Fairlie Curved?
I really like the look of the Flora nightdress as well. Pretty nightgowns are hard to come by these days, and even harder to find if you are full busted. Mostly all you find is pajamas or loungewear.
I looked at the Fairlie Curved website, but they don’t provide any size chart and just say to “order the size to fit your waist and hips” or “order the size to fit your bust”. I don’t know what my “usual” size is. Sizing is inconsistent, so I would really like some sort of sizing info before trying this brand. Especially since shipping from the UK to the US is so so expensive, I would much prefer to be able to get the right size the first time and not have to worry about exchanges.
That’s a great point. Thank you for noticing the lack of size chart.
I really wanted to love the Next Fuller Bust Puff Sleeve Denim Shirt… but it made me look like a Canadian-tuxedo Esmeralda Marcos
It’s a cute shirt but I don’t think I could pull it off either.
Why do you think that these businesses shut down so often?
