I hit a mid-season slump with my winter minimal seasonal wardrobe where I just wanted something new to wear. Since I also wanted a sweater dress I decided to combine this urge and order the sweater dress I have been eyeing from Bravissimo that went on sale in early January. Not my norm but for this order I just ordered the one dress for $66.

Unfortunately, this sweater dress didn’t work out for me. I ordered it in 14 RSC (18 RSC in UK sizing). The top of the dress fit but it was too big in the hips and seemed to be cut in an a-line skirt shape. I thought about altering the dress to fit me but then decided I didn’t like it enough to make the effort.

I like the cream top of the sweater but didn’t think about the fact that all my bras have black straps and the dress would have required purchasing a bra with more neutral straps. I ended up sending this dress back.

I sent the sweater dress back and thought to myself I just wouldn’t buy anything until Spring. Then while walking around last Sunday I meandered into Talbots. There I found a navy sweater dress with a ruffled scoop neck. Even better all the clearance dresses at Talbots were $34.95. The dress fit great and made me feel good so I bought it. Sadly, the dress is not available online so I can’t provide you with a link. I’ve already worn it this week and it didn’t stretch out or pill on the first wear.

In the Bravissimo sweater dress my measurements are 47.5-37.5-45 and I am 5’7.

Has anyone bought a great bust-friendly dress in the end of season sales?
