It’s another Eveden post this week! A couple weeks ago, Darlene and I attended a “70s dance party” thrown by Eveden for bloggers and other members of the press. We got to see models try on anything we requested from the latest season, got fitted (I’m happy to report that I’m already in the correct size), and even enjoyed some muffins and other breakfast goodies.
It wasn’t really a dance party, but I guess some of the collection is inspired by the 1970s, and the lovely PR ladies wore ’70s-inspired outfits. In fact, that’s one of the things I love about the Eveden brands and is part of why I like supporting them—they are very accommodating and welcoming to press!
Most of what I was interested in was the trendy swimwear cuts I shared in my coverage of the last Curve show. It really makes a difference to see these things on a real person in front of me. But I also have a few other tidbits to share…
First up, what I last referred to as the “standout” of the show, the “Pinup” set. I’m surprised to see how long it looks on a real body. With my long torso, I pretty much always expect long items to actually be a conservative length on me. This one’s definitely worth trying!
Moving on to swimwear:
Next up is some Freya Active followed by a few lingerie highlights, including some from Huit (the small-bust brand) and Elomi (the plus-size brand).
Now let’s talk Huit and Elomi! Normally I don’t bother reporting on these brands since I can’t wear them, but there were some absolute standout pieces. Although, I apologize for not writing down any of the style names—I wasn’t expecting to write about them! But they’re all part of the Autumn/Winter 2016 collection, which means they’ll be coming out around September.

That sports bra looks really promising. Panache is just too shallow for my shape.
Hello Leah H. This is unrealated to this post but is related to a review you did last year on swimwear. I’m interested in purchasing a Profile Blush By Gottex top that you had reviewed in this post:
I wanted to find out if you thought that it would possibly work for my bust size? I’m a 32FF in Fantasie bras and swimwear. The size charts that I’m running across are pretty confusing. If you think it would work what size would you recommend? Thanks so much
Hi Rebecca. As noted in my Gottex post, the “F-cup” top fit me like a UK 28G. Since the band is so adjustable, anything that’s a sister size to that should fit okay in the cups. So 30FF, 32F, 34E, etc. Unfortunately, that means at 32FF it’ll probably be too small in the cups for you. If you can try it on in a store, it’s worth a look. But I probably wouldn’t recommend ordering it online unless the retailer has a good return policy. :\
