Today I indulged in wishful time management and thought I’d be able to write about camisoles. Instead, I’ve spent the day organizing patterns and preparing to do more cutting. This picture shows what I was doing last Saturday–experimenting with the placement of pattern pieces to avoid any fabric waste.

fabric cutting for big bust shirt
That’s a fabric weight on the right. It keeps the pattern in place on the fabric so that I don’t have to pin it. Instead of scissors, I’m using a rotary cutter (it looks like a pizza cutter).

So far I have cut the fabric for four shirts, but I just realized that I cut two of them in the WRONG SIZE.  I would love to tell you more about my new role in this phase of the production process, but I have to get back to work. Cutting takes me FOREVER, and even with wishful time management, I don’t see how I can get the remaining seven shirts cut before our flight leaves for Florida tomorrow!
