I bet that every busty woman has bought an item from a high street shop that doesn’t quite fit around the bosom? So did I at the start of this holiday season. I just loved the color of the Esprit blouse and the loose fit, which is great for hot weather. I also burn easily so think that a long-sleeved summer blouse is an essential wardrobe item.

This particular top is also a tad see-through, which I hesitated over quite a bit even though see-through is in right now and bras are allowed to be seen. Somehow for some reason I just feel it’s different with a big bust since the boobies are seriously larger than what the women in the clothing ads have. But hey ho, +40 degrees celsius in an very old town like Coimbra in Portugal, and I just took the leap, abandoned the cami and wore only my charcoal Deco under the blouse.

Picture evidence shows that it was ok to do so. The top is not even see-through at all really. The fit issue was what made the bra show. I could not  button the top all  the way up and had to leave the top button open because otherwise there’d been a nasty looking pull over the bust. So the charcoal bra peeked out a tiny bit quite often–but then, charcoal and this type of blue are a good match. 🙂 Now I think that at least in hot weather a great bra and a slightly see-through top are ok, even for busty women. I would not have believed at the beginning of this summer that I would think this way, being a very cleavage-shy woman myself!
