Since this is your last weekend to shop before Valentine’s Day, I wanted to tell you what I found at Iris Lingerie yesterday. It’s all good news for full-breasted women.

Iris calls this the Iris Special because it’s only $42. I brought it home with me, not because of the price, but because of Iris’s story.

A few weeks ago, a customer purchased several expensive, beautiful Prima Donna bra and panty sets along with the Iris Special. Which one did her husband love the most? The Iris Special. The customer returned to purchase it in red and pink.

The Iris Special is all stretch lace. Its flowers offer the only bit of coverage, which you can see is not very much. The cap sleeves are actually off the shoulder and just as sheer as the rest of it. It comes with matching thong.

You can buy this in small, medium, large or extra-large. The large fit me but was tight. The extra-large hugged everything just right. I’m a size 12 and 36DD, which should give you an idea of what would work for you.

I also tried an $82 chemise from the Butterflies line by Claire Pettibone, the famous wedding dress designer.

It doesn’t look particularly Valentine-y, but the colors and style, in sheer, soft, stretch mesh and lace, are beautiful. Normally, I would avoid triangle tops like this, but I found I actually filled up the top without spilling out. It was extremely flattering. I fit the large (12-14). It also comes in small (4-6) and medium (8-10). The matching panties are sold separately. This style will be around for a while, but the fabric design will change.

Finally, you may want to wear this Elomi basque by Fantasie under your going-out clothes next Saturday.

It comes in black, ivory and white, costs $92 and, most importantly, is available in 34D-42G. It converts to strapless, and the garters are detachable. This picture doesn’t do it justice, but I’m afraid I just can’t model this one for you!

Now you have an idea of what’s available to us. By the way, I’m trying to focus on products available to all full-breasted women rather than stores unique to New York City because I know many of you live in other states. Based on my experiences before Christmas and this week, I recommend visiting your local lingerie boutiques before heading to a big department store chain. And if you can’t find anything in your neighborhood, give Iris a call at (718) 422-1149.
