As my friend reminded me last week, not everyone is as obsessed with shirts as I am. So take a look at this amazing vintage dress that Marketa found on eBay for $5.00!! (Excuse the discoloration under the arms–it is vintage, after all.) She didn’t have to alter a thing.
See a close-up of one of the bust darts after the jump. My friend Kate says that it was common in the sixties to put a dart on the side of the princess seam going toward the center of the dress rather than going toward the arm. So many possibilities.
Maybe Kate could make a pattern of this dress for me. I’d want a more scooped neck. I don’t know why this boat neck looks good on Marketa. She defies all rules and gets away with everything.
