For the first time ever, my lingerie drawer is brimming with beautiful bras. And even better my Elomi bras are actually comfortable, and I find myself reaching for my comfortable stand-by bralette rarely. My latest acquisition is the Charley by Elomi (please note that the Charley bra and matching brief were gifted to me but all opinions are my own).
Wow, I’ve never been someone who wanted the world to see my bra but this one definitely made me seriously ponder underwear as outerwear for a hot second. The Charley comes in a few different styles: the bralette and the plunge style. I have the bralette (this isn’t a bralette in a traditional sense) it’s an underwire bra with an extra lace piece..
Unlike a lot of longline bras, the longline piece beneath the bra band is not an extension of the bra band but a separate piece of fabric. This lace overlay is not a part of the support of the bra. I love the way the longline looks, however I do find that the longline part rides up after a few hours of wear. The plunge style looks to be the same but without the extra lace longline portion.
The matching brief is high cut in the leg and while on the model it covers her belly button on me it did not. The cool part of the brief is that the front portion has a lining that provides more coverage and on me keeps the panty up and not riding down under my tummy.
This bra is comfortable throughout the day. I find the Elmoi bras have wider set wires which don’t pinch my armpit area. Or make me feel like I am being stabbed slowly to death. My days are so much better now that I finally am wearing the right size bra.
Fantastic! It’s so nice to have a full bra drawer of bras that fit and are comfy! I am full busted too and I love Elomi bras! I also like Anita and some Empriente bras but they are so expensive I’ve only got to try on a few different models.
I’ve heard Emprienta would work well for me. But the prices – oh my goodness.
