Panache has so many cute styles and fabrics this year. There’s something for everyone. I had the opportunity to try a few of Panache’s suits this season and while I didn’t find a keeper, there’s lots here to love.
My teenager thinks this Ayanna style is particularly cute (top, bottoms).
And I love the floral pattern of this Florentine style (top, bikini, midi).
The bulk of Panache’s suits this season are bikinis and tankinis. Their primary line, Anya, comes in sea blue, black, White Crochet, Cruise (navy with a nautical stripe), Dot (black with white dots), and Stripe (a black and white stripe).
I tried the Anya Cruise tankini and the Anya Spot bikini and tankini. My bra band measurement is 34?but I find 36” bras fit me better. My bust measures 41” and I tend to take an F or FF cup. Like with the Fantasie suit, I took measurements of the two Panache tankinis I tried.
The Anya Cruise tankini has a molded cup bra, removable straps and a cute nautical-style stripe on the top and the brief. The waist of the tankini is unlined with two seams down the center front, and has gathered ties on the sides. The matching Classic brief is an unlined, mid-rise brief with low cut leg openings. It’s very comfortable. I tried an XXL and I probably could have gone down a size. Especially since suits tend to stretch a little when wet. The bra band and the seams down the front were a little scratchy, but I suspect that would have washed out. I tried a 36FF and G in this suit and the G fit best. The tank of the suit in the 36 measures 13.25” from the bottom of the underwire to the hem and 18.25” across the hem. It was tough to measure the top of the underwire due to the 3-d cups, but the measurement at the bottom of the underwires is 15.5″.
The Anya Spot tankini has a soft, underwire bra with a flattering V to the top, and gathered ties at the waist. It’s unlined and constructed a little differently than the Cruise in that it doesn’t have seams down the front. The matching gathered brief is mid-rise and unlined. I tried a 36G and a 38FF and the 36G fit the best. The 36G measures 13” from the bottom of the underwire to the hem and 19” across the hem. The top of the underwires measures 13 5/8” and across the bottom measures 16”. The 38FF is a sister cup size to the 36G, and the larger band size provides extra tummy room. The suit measures 13.5” down from the bottom of the underwire to the hem, and 20” across the hem. Across the top of the underwires measures 15 1/8” and 16.25” across the bottom. I don’t know that I trust my measurements of the top underwire, since the difference is over an inch. The underwires on this suit are tall and can dig-in a little at the center gore. I found it fairly uncomfortable, and you can read about Darlene’s experience with this issue in the Anya and Milano last year.
The Anya Spot Bandeau bikini top top has a molded bra cup, removable straps, and a cute twist detail. I tried the 36G and the 38FF and the 36G fit the best. The underwires on this suit are a teensy bit shorter than on the tankini and the center gore was very comfortable and did not dig-in. This suit was so cute and comfortable when paired with the matching Gathered brief. It was my favorite of all the ones I tried.
