Disclosure: The Milano tankini and bottoms were received as review samples from Panache. All opinions are my own and based entirely on my experience. This post includes affiliate links.

When I tried on the Panache Milano tankini for fuller busts right before we left for Belize last month, I knew it was going to be my favorite suit. I envisioned wearing it snorkeling . . .

It was the suit I put on for our very first snorkeling trip.

and just hanging out . . . maybe even throwing on shorts or a skirt to wear it to the dining room.

Wonder what I’m reading? The Myth of the Nice Girl. You can find my review on the Campbell & Kate blog!

Unfortunately, after wearing this bust-friendly suit the first time during the day and then sitting under the stars in a regular bra that evening, I actually worried that I was having a heart attack based on the pain in my sternum. After I got over my initial panic and figured out it was the suit and not my heart, I was SO disappointed! (Okay, I would have been MORE disappointed if it had been a heart attack, but you know what I mean.)

Would I have had the same issues if I had chosen the 34G instead of the 34FF? I wonder. I chose the 34FF in the Milano because the 34G in the Anya Cruise was so much larger, and I didn’t want to risk losing weight and finding the 34G in the Milano to be too big later in the summer. Leah also approved of the fit of the 34FF on me when we met at the pool. Here’s my side-by-side comparison on Instagram. (ARE YOU FOLLOWING US ON INSTAGRAM YET?!! We try to post different things there!)

I also wondered if the underwires came up higher in a 34 because I didn’t have this issue at all in the 32FF Cleo Leena that I reviewed in 2015. However, my new theory is that the Milano underwires are much more rigid. I can’t even bend them, whereas the Leena underwires (on the left below) have the slightest give.

If you try this swimsuit for busty women, please let us know how it works for you in the comments. As I write this, there are no reviews on the major ecommerce sites that I would turn to, and I hate to prejudice you against a suit that has SO MANY OTHER GREAT THINGS ABOUT IT.

First, the seaming within the cups in both the Leena and the Milano mirrors the seaming in the external layer of the suit. See the horizontal seam in the right pic above? It exactly matches the navy trim across the top of the cups.

Second, I simply adore the lift. You’ll understand even better when I post my review of another suit next week.

Third, you can adjust the length! Leah thought this looked like a cute pin-up swim dress, and it’s a great alternative if you’re in the mood for a little more coverage below. Of course, it’s also great for those of you with long torsos.

Here are the Milano adjustable side-tie bikini bottoms adjusted to their fullest length. By the way, I found the large to feel most comfortable in this style (vs. the medium in the Anya Cruise that I reviewed last week).

It’s also great while swimming–I’m saying this because I don’t remember the tankini floating away from my torso or needing to be yanked over my hips. However, I didn’t get the chance to try it in rough water.

This is simply a great tankini option from Panache, and if I can ever figure out how to bend the underwires away from my chest, this will be the suit I pack for every trip to the pool or beach this summer.
