When I checked out our choices from Eveden this year, I couldn’t take my eyes off the Palawan print from Fantasie. I still love the Fantasie Ottawa twist-front bikini that I reviewed last year, but I’ve been wishing for the extra coverage of a tankini. However, I didn’t want that extra coverage to be solid block of color, so the Palawan tankini was perfect for me. Plus, it has a nice V-neck that breaks up the block of fabric a little more.

This year my bust measures close to 41.5″ (41.375″ if you really want to know) and my rib cage measures 33″. I decided to try the Palawan in 32G to see if it gave me a little more lift than the Ottawa in 34G. It does. The foam-padded cups and firmer fabric also help.

Since I was going for a 32, it gave me extra security to know that the two-hook bra band would be concealed by the high back in case there was any back bulge. In this photo, you can also see the drawstring ruching that lets me adjust the length of the top.

I went with the simple mid-rise swim brief in medium and am very happy with it. There’s enough bum coverage, and the entire bottom is completely lined. Guess what else is lined? The entire front panel from the underwires down to the hem (and it’s sewn into the hem, so the layers won’t float away from each other). You can see the lining where I’m pulling the top up in the photo above.

Neckline security is a DREAM in this suit. The center gore tacks firmly, and I felt like there was absolutely no movement while swimming the breast stroke. This will be a perfect suit for playing with nieces and nephews who cling to my neck in the pool or going down slides at a water park.

Finally, I’ve always wanted a matching cover-up, so I was thrilled when Fantasie included the Palawan kaftan in their shipment. It’s made of a sheer polyester georgette that feels floaty and feminine. I wore it over my suit with leggings and felt elegant when I stopped at a store on the way to the pool. Covering up to leave the pool was a piece of cake.
