In case you can’t tell, I love this suit for one very simple reason: I feel CUTE in it. I have always wanted a bandeau with individual cups like the Figleaves Salma.
I also feel secure in it. It has detachable straps that I’ll show you later in the post, but the strapless freedom is the main draw for me.
I also think it helps that there is such a wide clasp in back. The band is a completely separate panel from the rest of the back.
FIT
This 34FF isn’t perfect on me. Here’s a closeup of the magnificent clasp. Along the edges of the keyhole below it, you can see a place on the left and right where the fabric buckles–this wouldn’t be an issue on someone with a longer torso.
On the other hand, I was worried that my skin would bulge out of the keyhole, but it doesn’t. The 34 band is firm without being binding. I currently measure 32″ under my bust and 33″ around my waist.
As far as the cups go, a 34F might have been the better choice. I’m not sure if Figleaves swimwear cups run large or if my bust has gotten smaller since I requested the sample, but I felt like I had a little more room in the cups than I needed. However, this is NOT going to stop me from enjoying this suit for the rest of the summer
WET
I did a lot of jumping around in the pool.
After all that activity, my bust line definitely shifted down. These photos show how much. But once again, I did not feel a smidgen of fear that I was suddenly going to be topless.
After swimming for a bit and getting thoroughly waterlogged, here’s an interesting development in my profile.
When I added the straps, it disappeared.
