THIS is the suit I lived in on vacation and that I’m taking with me for Memorial Day weekend. Eveden gave me the Fantasie Ottawa twist and matching skirted bikini bottom as a review sample, but all opinions are my own and based on my experiences. First, doesn’t the Pacific color POP? It’s my second favorite thing about this set. My first favorite thing about it is the comfort. Basically, this bikini top might as well be a lounge bra, it’s that comfortable. I totally forget I’m wearing an underwire when I have it on.
I requested the bikini set because I love the idea of skirted bottoms, despite a clue five years ago that they may not be that flattering on me. The Ottawa bottoms weren’t as skort-like as I’d hoped–I was expecting something I could wear from the beach to the store, but they’re a little too short for that.
In the end, I adjusted the side ties as high as they would go for a traditional bikini bottom look and really liked the result. As you know, I currently measure 33″ around my waist and 41″ around my bust. The medium bottoms felt just right for me. (The suit was dry in the photos above; it’s wet in the photos below.)
The 34 band feels fine–not too loose or too tight. On the other hand, this is VERY giving stretch fabric, so it may be a good idea to size down in the cup.The G cup completely contains me, but I wonder if an FF would have been more lifting? In the photo below, you can see the ultra-natural shape I get in this suit. I also took a video to show how bouncy it is, but I’m not sharing that one yet!
Finally, the twist front is a nice idea, but it would seem more special if it completely hid the center bridge.
It sounds like I have a lot of complaints, but I really like the Fantasie Ottawa. Basically, I felt like I could have made it through my entire vacation with just the Fantasie Ottawa and my Bolero sundress in my suitcase!
