I have been following Darlene and Hourglassy for a number of years and am thrilled that she has invited me to post a couple of reviews. First, an introduction. My name is Donna and I have 2 college age kids. I wear a 30G UK bra. Mostly Panache and Freya. I have been hunting for a new tankini that is appropriate to wear in my condo complex pool as well as when visiting my parents in Florida. Today’s review is of the Freya Sundance tankini that Leah reviewed a few weeks ago. I purchased the top in cobalt in 32G. I like to go up a band size in swimwear since I find they run small. Also, since the bodice isn’t sized beyond the back size, I need the extra room in the belly area.

Leah gave an excellent description of the suit in her review. I did not find the tankini to be as difficult to put on as she did–not that it was easy! It took a lot of shimmying after stepping into it. I definitely cannot put it on over my head. I find the single hook closure to be much easier to clasp than a tradition bra-like closure. The fact that it is not hidden under the back of the suit is a plus as well.

The straps can be worn standard or crossback. I can get into the suit with them in the standard position but have to attach them crossback after it is on. For me ,this is an impossible feat. There is absolutely no way I can reach behind and hook them myself. I will only wear them crossback when I have another set of hands to help.
That being said, the suit fits perfectly and comfortably both ways.

The tankini is extremely comfortable both wet and dry. It offers excellent support and lift and looks fantastic! It gets rave reviews from my harsh critics (family). The unlined middle portion offers great visual interest and does not stretch out.

I paired the suit with a skirted bottom from Lands’ End. It is a bit on the long side, but that it a good thing. It stops a bloated belly from popping out!

I am looking forward to posting a few more reviews! I luckily found some great new suits and would love to share!
