I actually am not a huge fan of maxi dresses as somehow I feel they make me look huge, but I still love a maxi in the summer heat of a city. So I’ve been keeping an eye on my go to dress store Wallis and spotted two dresses that look like they’d be superb for large busted ladies.

While I’m not keen on ditsy print or florals in general, there’s always an exception to the rule. I find this pattern to be more like a painting and not so in your face floral. Why I think this will suit a busty woman well is that the darker hem really draws the attention down to the bottom of the dress and not the bust area.

Another flower pattern I don’t mind too much is a bold big pattern, like this next dress. In this case why I feel this suits an ample bosom well is the fact that there is no pattern on the top of the dress and the neutral base color of the dress really lets the pattern draw all attention.

The last pick from Wallis is more for the cut of the dress, but I’m not keen on the pattern–just not my cup of tea, while a solid black or a dark dress would make it onto my “to purchase” list. Wallis tends to fit at least my Freya Deco 34GG bust fairly well, so I think that at least with a few stitches or a safety pin this wrap dress could very well suit my frame.

You can always tell when my summer holiday is getting closer–floral dresses and maxis are on the shopping list. They are my summer and holiday wear more than work wear even though if it’s a really hot day I could wear a floral maxi to work, but it would be an exceptional occasion and would surely get comments from my colleagues about being in a holiday mood. And well, why not? My four week holiday, including a trip to NYC, will start this week on Friday.

As I’m quite fixed on following the fast changing Wallis dress collection as a source for my dresses, I would appreciate any and all tips on where else to find great maxi dresses!
