From the beginning of our relationship, my husband knew he’d gotten a tomboy.  Now that we are seventeen years in, he may be getting tired of t-shirts and sweatpants at night.  Now is the time for really nice loungewear.  This is a middle ground that is difficult to navigate as a busty lady.  I can find lingerie that I’m sure my husband would like, but I also have a teenage son in my home who doesn’t want to see his mom’s assets at breakfast.  So, what do we do for loungewear?
I’m looking at these options but would love input from our readers.
One of my newest comfiest pieces of lounge wear is from a new indie brand called Mansfield Lingerie. They have a gorgeous Helena Babydoll Chemise, it’s beautiful and covers up nicely and comes in three different colors (http://www.etsy.com/listing/160361564/handmade-lingerie-babydoll-short). I would also suggest any loungewear from the brand Love & Lustre (http://www.lovelustre.bigcartel.com/).
I will definitely check those out
I frequently wonder the same thing – what to wear that’s pretty, comfortable, and won’t scandalize my child. There aren’t many options for large cup sizes.
I’ve looked at the Bravissimo wireless options, but so far I haven’t taken the plunge.
I peruse department stores and try different styles on, and I get lucky once in a while.
I’ve been looking at bralettes to wear under some loose, casual gowns/tanks but it is incredibly difficult to find pretty bralettes sized above a c/d cups. Why don’t they make them? Big boobs can’t be pretty???
I also struggle with climate-appropriate lounge wear since it is warmer year-round at my house. Long sleeves and heavy fabrics are just NOT options and they seem to dominate half the year.
I love Bravissimo nightwear! I live in them! For me personally, I find that they run loose in the back, so I order the 28GG/H.Others might find their “usual size”OK though. I prefer a lot of support, but some might like things looser for nightwear. I find that these tops are a good balance between looking cute and being comfortable. I don’t know what I did without them. Of yes, I wore baggy t shirts and crossed my arms around my chest!
My normal bra size is 30 GG. Thought I mentioned that!
I also love Bravissimo nightwear even though they are overpriced for the fabrics they use, unfortunately they’ve stop doing 28 sizes, so now I’m sized out of their range.
The lace nightdress would have been one of my buys if they made it in my size, but leaning more to a 26 back there’s no way a 30 is going to fit me nicely. So go for it, it looks nice, I have other 2 nightdresses from them and love them.
I recently found a couple of Champion shelf bra tanks at Target that I pair with lounge pants (from the Target PJ area) for sleep. It wouldn’t be nearly enough support for me to wear all day when my body is vertical but it is very comfortable for sleep lounging. I just throw a short lightweight robe on over the top if there are strangers around (and would do so if I had a kid). It doesn’t sound sexy, but according to my husband, it is… and it didn’t cost a mint. 🙂 (I am a 34/36 DD depending on brand.)
I have found some pretty loungewear that fits me from the brand Calida. It’s pricey but you can find it at deep discount at sierratradingpost.com
