Good news! No one curvy turns into a zombie!
That’s what I’ve learned from every episode of The Walking Dead I’ve seen so far (we’re ready for season 3, episode 7 tonight). Of course, this isn’t the most scientific observation–I also hadn’t seen any full busts among the living until I spotted a few D+ extras in season 3, episode 6.
Thanks to our ongoing Walking Dead marathon, I now see walkers everywhere, including in the fruit department of Costco last Saturday. “Walker!” I hissed at my husband. He glanced at the other woman handling the oranges and had to agree. She had stringy gray hair above a colorless face and wore a baggy denim shirt.
Thinking about her later, I realized that no one is actually immune from “turning” in real life. We go through periods when our faces turn grey and we look tired all the time. Perhaps there’s been a death or a breakup or more stress than we can bear, and we’re simply trying to make it from one day to the next. We forget what joy feels like. If you’re going through such a period, my heart goes out to you.
On the other hand, sometimes we look like zombies because we’ve forgotten what makes us “us”. The walkers in The Walking Dead have lost their personalities. Everyone looks alike. If it weren’t for the occasional dress and long hair, we wouldn’t be able to distinguish males from females, and that’s why there are no curvy walkers. Everyone must blend in.
Now that it’s spring, why not come back to life? Remember to do something that you enjoy even if no one else gets the same pleasure from it. Study the physical features that set you apart from every other woman and decide how to highlight them to be unmistakably you.
You have been cracking me up with The Walking Dead shout-outs on Twitter. You’re gonna make me start watching it, aren’t you?
Best show ever! Watch!
Only be forewarned about the gore. It’s really gross–pretty much the antithesis of your blog. DH started watching Django the other night and found himself immune to the violence because there’s so much more of it in Walking Dead. I get to a point where I feel like nothing on the series will shock me anymore, and then they up the ante by doing something even grosser.
You really made me smile (and it’s kind of hard in the mornings)!
Thank you!
Yay!
I really need to watch this series at some point. But we’re currently working in Battlestar Galatica (also, sadly, pretty absent of busty women!).
Hmmm. Maybe we need to watch that next.
now I started looking at all tv series from this angle, they are quite absent of buxom women! Well, not 2 Broke Girls though 🙂
And June told me about one of the actresses on Big Bang Theory.
