Here is my dream dress on my wedding day! (See the original designer version here.)
The top of the dress.
In this photo, you can see the top half of my whole dress. The back is reflected in the mirror, to the right.
Here’s the whole dress, top to bottom!
To me that is the one, almost universal no-no for us bosomy gals when it comes to bridalwear: No Strapless Gowns. Period.
I want people looking at ALL of me when I walk down the aisle, not just at my bewbz thinking, “OMG, it looks like her TaTas are about to spill out of her gown any second now…” and hoping I’ll trip.
Plus…it’s rare that a strapless gown *looks* good on a DDD gal. I don’t think even Christina Hendricks really pulled it off well in the peach dress she wore to the Golden Globes. You look at her and you don’t think, “Oh wow — check out Christina Hendricks!” You think, “OMG, check out Christina Hendricks’ hooters!”
They’re gorgeous and magnificent and if I were a man I’d be all over them but… as a woman who is built pretty much identically to Ms. Hendricks, I guess I’d rather we be valued for *everything* we bring to the table, not just our top notch top shelf.
Wearing a strapless gown w/ DDD breasts … you might as well put a flashing red neon sign over them saying “LOOK HERE!” :-p
