Last week I discovered Model Mayhem. It doesn’t allow a search by bra size, so I squinted at hundreds of profile pictures to find models who might wear a D cup or higher. Besides breasts, I also caught a glimpse of a world where certain models pose for “artistic nude shots”, some specify that they will not even do “implied nudes”, and others insist on bringing an escort with them to photo shoots.
The main thing I learned, however, is something I thought I already knew: There is no single definition of beauty. You can find every age, shape, size, weight and height on Model Mayhem. I found myself overwhelmed with the variations of feminine beauty. Until Model Mayhem, I had no idea how narrow the standards pushed by magazine editors and other media outlets.
