Yesterday, you saw the questions I asked Silfath. Now, not only would I work with her one-on-one, but also in a group–we’re holding a workshop on March 16 called Style Files for the Full Bust. Have you ever been to a workshop tailored just for us? Neither have I, and I can’t wait!
We’re going to have a great time learning with other women over wine and cheese. And it’s win-win-win because the $25 fee can be used as a credit for Stylosophy services or a Campbell & Kate shirt!
On another note, look for my post this afternoon about some amazing sleep and loungewear discoveries that I made for us at Curve last week.
Darlene – This sounds great! I'd love to be in a room with woman who have similar clothes fitting issues. Too bad I'm located so far from NYC!
I'm sitting here in a cross-over top from Athleta – a faux wrap. I have similar shirts from two other brands that are flattering so I had high hopes. But these are going back! The wrap part is attached at the side seam too high under the bust line resulting in too much cleavage. I know its the style to show your cleavage – but I prefer people look at my face!
I'll try to remember some of the tips to share with you, Momraths. And perhaps one of these days we could offer a workshop in your area.
Thanks for the update about hte Athleta top. What other two brands comes in cross-over styles that are flattering?
Also, any tips on a fitted little jacket? My friend Marketa and I are going shopping for one for her on Friday, and I want it to be a productive trip.
One shirt is an organic cotton shirt from Gaiam (10% Spandex). It is more of a crossover shirt as it isn't loose at the crossing part – its sewn down – its actually more of a V-neck but one side of the V continues down to the waist like a cross-over. I totally lack the style vocabulary -presuming it exists – to explain this properly. I purchased it in 2008 and they don't sell it any more.
The other is a Cable & Gauge short sleeve top- – its a sort of an odd crossover in which the material is braided back and forth. It is very fitted and I am a little self-conscious in it as I think it makes me look busty – but it shows off my waist and I basically like the way it looks.
