Last April, when I ordered the Seersucker Shirt and Robyn Linen Mix Top from Bravissimo, I didn’t realize it would be one of my last clothing orders. I wore both the Seersucker Shirt and the Robyn Linen Mix Top all spring and summer and both are in good enough shape to wear again next year.
I lived in Cape Cod last fall and winter and this shirt definitely feels like I picked up some New England style. The Seersucker Shirt is currently on sale for $56 at Bravissimo. It’s casual while still looking polished. It doesn’t require any ironing or steaming to look crisp and it was great for covering up from the sun without being too hot. The bust shaping comes from a bust dart at the side seam.
This shirt does shrink – I ended up having to sew the front placket shut to stop the blouse from gaping after a couple of washes.
Aside from the shrinking, the fabric is good quality and shows no signs of wear after being worn 11 times and washed 6 times. I would definitely recommend sizing up in this blouse if you are between sizes or just fit into a size. I am wearing the UK 18 Super Curvy/US 14 and currently wear a UK 36J/US 36 M bra in these photos. I enjoyed this shirt immensely and will be happy to wear it again next spring.
The Robyn Linen Mix Top is a brightly colored cap sleeve blouse with a peplum and is currently on sale for $51.50. I like that the top is fitted around the bust but much looser in the in the stomach area. It didn’t shrink, but did fade in color and shows signs of wear around the seams.
The top does cut a bit low so higher cut bras might show and cleavage could show when you bend over.
The fabric is heavier and could benefit from a quick steam, but being linen it will end up a bit wrinkled by the end of the day anyway. I enjoyed wearing this top and received many compliments, but it doesn’t feel like me as much as the Seersucker Shirt does.
Did you buy anything from the Bravissimo sale going on now?
