I’m training for another half marathon and trying to loose my jiggly bits. What always helps me is not so much a goal weight but a goal outfit. Being that summer is right around the corner, my goal outfit will be a bikini. Keep in mind I haven’t worn a bikini since my honeymoon back in 2002! After working on finding a family-friendly bathing suit last week, I realized that having a hot bikini for when my children aren’t with us at the beach would make my husband quite happy and, more importantly, give my confidence a boost.
H cup bikini tops are becoming easier to find. It used to be that we were basically stuck with plain colors and questionable support but we are getting closer to the point where we have just as many style/color options as the DD ladies.
As with the one piece suits, I tend to lean towards halter tops for bikinis. The issue with halter tops is that because my breasts are very heavy, the straps that tie behind my neck need to be on the wide side. If they are too narrow my neck will hurt from the weight of my breasts being distributed across such a small area. What I love about the halter style is that it makes the front view of my breasts more narrow than traditional straps by pulling in the sides.
Out of all the halters I’m considering, the Britt by Panache appears to have the widest ties. I’m sure you’ve also noticed that it is a polka dot print. Sigh. I’m a sucker for polka dots and this suit has a retro flare I adore.
The Sienna by Bravissimo may look familiar. It is the bikini cousin of the Sienna Tankini I featured in last weeks column. These ties are fairly wide. I’m torn between the two bottoms available.
Cleo, Curvy Kate and Freya offer gorgeous halter bikini tops in H cup. The ties on these are not as wide as the Bravissimo or Panache tops but they are too pretty to pass up a chance to at least try them on.
