As you learned in my last post, I love the brand Sézane. I own t-shirts, sweaters, button up shirts and even silk blouses. For me this brand works well as the side seams are straight and don’t nip in at the waist or get fuller at the hips. As my fuller bust is the largest measurement on my body, shirts and dresses that add extra room at the hips aren’t a good fit for me and shirts with straight down side seams are just easier for me to wear.
Sweaters aren’t the most original choice for a fuller busted lady like myself, but I’d say sweaters are the easiest item to purchase for any Hourglassy reader. And Sézane does beautiful sweaters! They have so many beautiful colors and variations. Many of their sweaters come in oversized fits which makes the brand inclusive for cusp and plus sizes. In all of the photos below my measurements in inches are 50-41-46 (127-104-117 cm) and I am 5’7 (170 cm) tall.
The Basile sweater is definitely oversized. I am wearing the XXXL and I could size down to an XXL. This sweater is cute but at 55% Alpaca it doesn’t feel good against my skin.
The Isaura sweater is one that I wanted for a couple of months. It had originally sold out in my size in XXXL so when it came back in stock I ordered it (it seems to be restocked in many sizes at the moment). This sweater is 100% Merino Wool and I was able to wear it without any itching.
I tried this on a second time before deciding to keep it and you can see it below with a skirt and black trousers.
This Abby sweater is 100% cotton and runs small. I am wearing the sweater in size XXXL. It is so pretty but way too cropped for me (you can see a hint of stomach in the photo below).
The sweater also has an open weave and will look best with a nude for you bra underneath it.
For a couple of summers now, I have wanted a white blouse with lace. As I already own the Chlo blouse in navy silk and hunter green silk I was hopeful that this would be my dream white lace blouse for summer.
I am wearing the blouse in the biggest size, a 16 (48) and it fits ok.
I was a bit slimmer when I bought the silk version of this blouse and it definitely pulls across the bust in a way that it didn’t before. The ruffle along the button placket does give additional coverage for a fuller bust.
This blouse is 100% cotton and if it were to shrink it would definitely not fit and unfortunately, I had to send it back.
I don’t see myself buying any additional Sézane for Spring and Summer this year as I already own four Max button up shirts and three t-shirts from the brand. But you never know – maybe something will catch my eye?

Thank you for this useful overview. I am havering about buying Sezanne tops but definitely impressed by the Chlo blouse – just the right amount of frill and very flattering. The Isaura jersey looks good on you and the sleeve interest is flattering. I like Sezanne subtle but interesting details.
