Take me out to the ball game.

Take me out to the crowd.

Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks

I don’t care if I ever get back…..

OK — So I’m not actually headed to the ball park. All games are enjoyed from the comfort of my own home. But my summertime hobby is watching the Phillies lose. If you stop by my house any weekend, I’ll be cooking, doing a bit of gardening and of course playing the piano while pausing to watch Carlos behind home plate or Ryan Howard take a turn at bat. And I’m wearing my team’s color all the while. So when offered the chance to review a Panache swimsuit, this red Veronica in my team’s colors caught my eye.

Panache Veronica

Panache graciously provided this suit, opinions are my own.

The last Panache bra I purchased was their sport tank. It’s wonderfully supportive for exercise, but it rides up as I run, exposing my mid-section. As I’m constantly tugging it down, my expectations for a Panache tankini staying down weren’t all that high. I needn’t have worried. I think it’s a matter of the shirring being on only one side so it stays put without me pulling it down. It’s also long enough to not expose my tummy area. I’m never self-conscious in a bikini, but when a tankini inches up and exposes a slice of my middle, it feels strange.

Ordered in my measured size of UK36H, I find the top fits true-to-size. The mesh-lined cups fully encapsulate breast tissue and the gore tacks when I put it on and stays there throughout the day.

My favorite feature is the genuine bra back fastening.

Victoria clasp

This is soft and comfortable.  Notice how long the fabric extends beyond the longest hook?  I’ll be checking for this on every bra from now on.

This is going to last a while as it fits well on the loosest hooks. As many of us expect a swimsuit to last a few seasons, having this flexibility with the band size is important. At my old size, the wires on a Panache Tango were too wide for me and dug uncomfortably into my armpits. No such problem with this suit. Actually — the wires and cup-fit are such that I’ll specifically look for Panache offerings on my next bra-shopping excursion. I popped this on and went about my typical weekend routine . . . cooking, cleaning, a little jumping up and down when one of the Phillies finally scored. The top held up nicely. I felt supported throughout the day and the straps remained comfortable.

Fold-over bottoms are plenty roomy. Indecently so, it turns out.  I realized I was a little too exposed in one of the side view pictures. For a perfect fit, I should size down to a UK 18 as I’m less gifted in the bottom half of the hourglass.

Available in a 30 E thru G, 32-38 DD thru J, 40 E thru G UK cup sizes, I find this Red White & Blue Veronica to be a home run.
