Leah is moving from one borough to another today, so sent positive thoughts her way as she deals with double parked moving vans and every other challenge of a New York City move.
In the meantime, it’s time for me to renew my 2-for-1 InStyle Magazine subscription. Would you like my extra subscription? If so, just answer the question below in the comments. I’ll draw and announce the winner next Thursday evening.
Question:Â If cost were no object, what ONE item would you add to your wardrobe this fall?Â
You get extra entries for including (a) a link; and (b) the color you’d choose it in.
I would get these Greer Wedge Ankle booties in cognac from J Crew. I just know I would wear them all the time through the fall and winter. I love the teeny buckles and how high the heel is (yet they are still comfortable to wear and to walk in). http://www.jcrew.com/womens_category/shoes/wedges/PRDOVR~49152/49152.jsp
Those are adorable. And I know how well you walk in high, high heels, so if you consider these comfortable, you’d never take them off.
A perfectly fitting black smoking suit for women…
I’d love a link to be able to picture what you have in mind. And I love your blog! I just subscribed to your newsletter. You have a lot of items on your site that I would add to my wardrobe this fall.
How wonderful that you like my blog. Thanks! Perhaps you should do a guest post sometime, because I definitely have no experience with the hourglass bodyshape or a generous bust.
As for photos: something like the Zara suit on this page: http://40plusstyle.com/my-favorite-trends-this-season-and-how-to-wear-them/ I also love the Gucci suit on this page: http://40plusstyle.com/my-favorite-designs-from-the-spring-2012-collections-for-women-over-40/
I would LOVE to find some boots ginormous calves, or as I call them, cows. I’ve never once found a pair that i can zip up. I’m not a particularly large person, but even Wide Circumference sizes are just too small.
So if money were no object, I’ve have the boots made. Maybe a pair like this http://www.zappos.com/via-spiga-kali-black-riviera
Great idea, Wendy! I’m not a giant person either, but all the boots I most adore end up being too narrow in the calves.
Simple, sure, but a custom-made fitted fleece jacket that would fit the bust and be long enough for 6 foot tall me 🙂
It’s been on my to-sew list for a while…
If you sew it, you’ve GOT to write about it here, okay? Coats and jackets are a challenge for anyone who is petite and full-busted or tall and full-busted. Length really becomes an issue with outerwear.
If cost were no object right?
In my dreams, I would add this gorgeous Mulberry – Alexa bag to my wardrobe. I love all the colors, but this chocolate colored one is perfect for fall, and for the rest of my life!

Gorgeous! I’m going to browse this site some more.
I would buy https://www.rebeccaanddrew.com/ three pack of button down shirts as I think they would really fit. It would just be so wonderful to have 3 button down shirts that fit for work, size 34H long. One day!
Have you read my reviews of Rebecca & Drew on this site? They really are nice shirts.
