I was delighted to get the report below from a reader in London last week.
I am a keen fan of the Red Violet Project and a 30 GG and, at 5 feet 4 inches tall, I have similar problems to you. I live in London and have bought the Bravissimo dress you picture [here]. It is lovely, very well made–but has a deep v back, which I am not that keen on. However, I wore it when the weather was hot, and I am glad I bought it. It is a keeper.
This year Bravissimo dresses seem much better for petite women. Most of the lengths have been 37-39 inches, and I have bought the dark blue empire line shift dress and the all-weather trench coat, too. The latter is especially gratifying, single breasted and a brilliant fit. They are both in the sale.
Bravissimo clothing sizes are similar to US sizes. The 10 is similar to a smallish US 10, so a British 12-14 rather than a 14-16, and although I am a GG I usually wear their curvy or really curvy, never the super curvy.
Thanks for these extremely helpful tips, JW! I only know a very tall woman who swears by Bravissimo dresses, so this is valuable information for those of us who are 5’4″ and under.
By the way, I don’t know how I missed that trench coat on sale. It’s still available in all sizes. (Nothing after the jump.)
I've always been intrigued by Bravissimo but their smallest size is an 8 . . . which I sometimes am but only when I have to buy up because of my boobs. Has anyone who is a size 6 had any luck with their clothing? It's a bit of a stretch to order something and deal with international return charges.
