As expected, the Commissioner of Labor has appealed Administrative Law Judge Henry Sullivan’s determination that I be given unemployment benefits, and yesterday was the deadline for submitting my statement in support of Judge Sullivan’s decision. When I looked at his written decision again yesterday, one sentence made me smile: “The blog is designed to provide a resource for such women and to keep them abreast of her efforts to create button-down shirts for those women.”
The extremely courteous and professional Judge Sullivan’s humor is so subtle, I missed it when I read the decision in June, but we all know he could have used “keep them posted” or “keep them updated” in that sentence. 🙂
That is so freaking unprofessional.
Awww. It didn’t strike me that way because he was so professional in every other way, and judges love to play with language. He must have been so pleased being able to slip something like that in there.
