I just found that two weeks ago, online Canadian bra boutique Butterfly Collection posted a brief interview with Panache on their blogand apparently Panache is going to start selling 26 bands in spring 2013! Here’s the full quote:

“The next collection we are designing is Spring 2013 and this will be the first trial of 26 bands in select styles in Cleo and maybe Superbra. We know that there is a huge need for 26 bands and we want to get the support absolutely right.”

And to that, I say FINALLY! While I don’t wear a 26 band, I read complaints pretty regularly from women who need 26s, but they simply don’t exist. Up until now, the only brand I know of that makes them is Ewa Michalak, but last I knew they were not returnable because many of the 28 or smaller bands have to be custom-made. So you can’t really try a range and return ones that don’t fit, as you can do with other companies. Plus the shipping time (from Poland) is pretty lengthy if you’re located in North America.

I think this is a really good sign that big-cup bra companies are willing to listen to customers. This past August, the brand asked its Facebook fans if there was a market for sub-28 bands, and the answer was a resounding YES. And now they’re actually following through. Panache in general is a very inclusive brand, with cups that range up to KK and lots of bras that go down to a 28 band. So I’m really not surprised at all to see them taking this initiative.

I only wish Panache bras fit me! Alas, their cups are far too shallow and the wires too wide for my shape. It’s really unfortunate too, because the quality is great and there are so many styles, colors, and shapes to choose from. Plus there are always tons of them on eBay for really cheap prices. Actually, there are probably enough different styles that I bet a few would fit me better than others, but I definitely don’t have the patience to order them all to try out.

Anyways, back to the size issue. When bra companies listen, it gives me hope! Maybe if we petition Victoria’s Secret enough, perhaps one day they’d consider extending their size range? They did start offering 32DD’s only about two years ago. And I know I harp on them a lot, but they are the most well known bra company in the U.S., and with tons of locations to boot. How nice would it be to be able to walk into any old shopping mall and purchase lingerie, in your size, hassle-free?
