I’ve really been needing to polish my look for certain events, so when Alice Fawke offered me a piece from her collection, I jumped at the chance to own the Amy dress. All opinions are my own, and clicking links in this post will not result in commissions to Hourglassy.

I love Amy’s clean lines, and navy is a welcome change from all the little black dresses in my closet. Alice was spot on when she suggested a UK size 14 for my 32.5″ waist and 41″ bust. I wear a 32FF/G bra.

The summer-weight wool has a linen-y texture, yet I can see wearing it year round. I think the pictures speak for themselves as to how versatile this dress is!

I should figure out what necklace to wear with this look, but regardless, I’m thrilled with the depth of the neckline–flattering to fuller busts without being cleavage-y.
Adding a Campbell & Kate shirt was a last minute idea, and I was surprised at how well it turned out!
Another plus: generous bra-strap coverage. I wonder, how would you style this dress without a jacket in warmer weather?
Thanks to Nora Gardner for lending me her Mila Boucle Jacket for this shoot. Playing with proportion, I discovered that a cropped jacket pairs best with a long dress like the Amy–especially before we shortened the hem by three inches!

I have a feeling you’re going to see a lot of me in this dress going forward. And I have a feeling I’m going to come up a lot more ways to wear it!
