Here comes my final Busty & The Beach review. This week, it’s the Panache “Summer” non-wired triangle bikini in 32G and high-waist briefs in medium. (Reminder: I measure 38”-29”-42”, height 5’6”, and bra size UK 28GG/30G.)

Disclosure: This set was received as a review sample. All opinions are my own and based entirely on my experience. The links to the top and bottoms are affiliate links, and clicking them may result in commissions to Hourglassy.

This is the first non-wired bikini from Panache that I’ve ever tried. I first fell in love with the “Summer” set at Curve Autumn/Winter 2018, which came in red, black, white, and metallic gold stripes. But it must have sold out right away because there were very few retailers who seemed to carry it and I couldn’t find my size anywhere. So imagine my delight when Panache brought it back this year in orange, navy, cream, and tan stripes.

I’ve never tried a non-wired Panache bikini, so I was eager to give the triangle top a go even though I knew it was risky. And in fact I did find it to run extremely small in the cups. In Panache and Cleo by Panache bras, I wear everything from 28FF to 30G to 28H depending on the style. I initially requested 30G (which is my most common size in standard Panache bras), but the cups were woefully too small.

Unfortunately, this top and its wired counterpart both stop at G-cups, so I couldn’t get a 30GG. But I was determined to make it work, so I replaced the 30G with a 32G. It shows a lot of cleavage, but the cups fit with no quad-boob or pillowing. The band isn’t quite as tight as I would normally prefer (it stretches from 26” – 36”), so I have to tie the halter pretty tight to get decent support. So while I wouldn’t wear it in ocean waves or for serious laps, it works plenty well for a more relaxed day at a pool or lake.

The cups get their support from an internal mesh layer with a seam up the center and a curved seam along the infra-mammary fold to mimic underwire, which helps provide decent support and shape.

As hoped, I loooooooove the bottoms. These are properly high-waisted—they fully reach my belly button! I would actually prefer if they were just an inch or two higher, but that’s always the case with my extra long torso. As long as my belly button is completely covered, it gets the job done. The size medium is also a perfect fit. This fabric is bouncy and has a really lovely soft and silky feel that’s different from all the other suits I tried this year despite being similar fabric content.

I’m also a huge fan of the navy piping and the trim that’s the same stripe fabric only going in a different direction. This set is such a perfect combination of vintage styling with modern touches. My only complaint is that the bottoms are unlined aside from the hygiene lining. The fabric is not sheer when wet and the quality is perfectly fine, but as always I worry about wearing it out faster.

Finally, I’m happy to report that even after doing a bunch of cannon balls and swimming several laps with different strokes, the top stayed in place just fine. Again, still a lot of cleavage, and I wouldn’t wear it in waves just to be on the safe side, but you can certainly swim in it—it’s not just for looking cute while sipping a cabana cocktail!

The non-wired triangle bikini and the wired halter-neck bikini both come in sizes 30-38 D-G. There are high-waist bottoms and string tie bottoms to pair with them in UK 8-20 (US xs-xxxl).
