It’s another Eveden post this week! A couple weeks ago, Darlene and I attended a “70s dance party” thrown by Eveden for bloggers and other members of the press. We got to see models try on anything we requested from the latest season, got fitted (I’m happy to report that I’m already in the correct size), and even enjoyed some muffins and other breakfast goodies.

It wasn’t really a dance party, but I guess some of the collection is inspired by the 1970s, and the lovely PR ladies wore ’70s-inspired outfits. In fact, that’s one of the things I love about the Eveden brands and is part of why I like supporting them—they are very accommodating and welcoming to press!

Most of what I was interested in was the trendy swimwear cuts I shared in my coverage of the last Curve show. It really makes a difference to see these things on a real person in front of me. But I also have a few other tidbits to share…

First up, what I last referred to as the “standout” of the show, the “Pinup” set. I’m surprised to see how long it looks on a real body. With my long torso, I pretty much always expect long items to actually be a conservative length on me. This one’s definitely worth trying!

Moving on to swimwear:

“Sundance” halter swimsuit in white. I’m less enthusiastic about the high neck after seeing it on a person.

I still love the halter swimsuit “Glam Rock” with its little side cutouts and gold beads…but I know the torso length won’t suit me.

The Deco bikini. I didn’t even notice this one previously, but the white and navy looks super fresh in person. Those strappy bottoms, though, are not flattering! That’s my squishiest spot.

Oh man, “Club Tropicana” is even better on a real person than on paper! I adore this set. If I buy a swimsuit this summer, I think it’ll be this one. If only I had more swimming opportunities, I could justify buying all the swimwear I wanted!

“Coral Bay” isn’t really my style, but I like that it exists. Frilled bandeau tops seem to be having a real moment these days. It looks great with the model’s red mermaid hair, though!

Next up is some Freya Active followed by a few lingerie highlights, including some from Huit (the small-bust brand) and Elomi (the plus-size brand).

I was thrilled by this soft crop top bra at Curve, and seeing it again only cemented this. I’m dying to lounge around in it at home. It comes in XS-XL, not bra sizes. The model was in a small and said she wears a 32 band (though I find that laughable…she’s definitely at least as small as 28). The PR gals said it follows the same sizing as the Freya Fancies bralette [https://hourglassy.com/2016/05/off-the-rack-reviewing-freya-fancies-bralette-hipster-short/], so I’d guess I’m a medium.

Unfortunately, the back clasp is not adjustable. If it were, one could consider sizing down to get more tissue compression and wear it on the loosest hook to ensure there’s enough ribcage room. Oh well, guess it’ll definitely be a lounging bra for me (or a yoga bra for those who partake of it).

And I’m still thrilled with the intense molded, underwire sports bra as well (plus those awesome workout tights!). The model said she runs marathons and that this is the only sports bra she’s found that doesn’t rub her or chafe anywhere. I’ve gotta try it!

The only other piece of conventional lingerie I was terribly interested in was the stunning embroidered “Sofia” from Fantasie. I raved about it the first time I saw it, and I’ll rave about it again. That waspie is divine.

Now let’s talk Huit and Elomi! Normally I don’t bother reporting on these brands since I can’t wear them, but there were some absolute standout pieces. Although, I apologize for not writing down any of the style names—I wasn’t expecting to write about them! But they’re all part of the Autumn/Winter 2016 collection, which means they’ll be coming out around September.

Hello, how freaking gorgeous is the model in this Elomi waspie set?? It enhances her curves beautifully.

And this amaaaazing blue, black, and white butterfly-esque print? The color on her is divine.

I was dying over this minimalist Huit set. It’s so sophisticated.
