Vince Camuto was a new label for me, but I found a great red knit dress at TJ Maxx that I wanted to try on. I was a bit hesitant over the bright red color. Even though I love red, it was a lot of red on a long-sleeved, knee-length dress.

Vibrant, energizing red Vince Camuto dress. The draping detail at the front is very waist flattering.

Luckily Darlene spotted the same dress in blue and passed it to me over the dressing room wall. I love the colors in both dresses and the way the draping defines the waistline.

Versatile Vince Camuto dress works well for work with a jacket, and the back detail makes it a nice dress for an after work dinner.

Both looked fabulous, and it took a while to decide what to do as those bright colors echo different meanings. Red signifies a pioneering spirit and leadership qualities, promoting ambition and determination. It is also strong-willed and can give confidence to those who are shy or lacking in will power. Blue exhibits an inner security and confidence. You can rely on it to take control and do the right thing in difficult times. It has a need for order and direction.

I decided to go with the blue in the end, but now I regret I didn’t get both versions! Some days at work just scream for a red dress to strengthen one’s message, and other days require the blue dress and the confidence and control it evokes.

Nine West jacket that I wrote about last week, Vince Camuto dress and Tamaris ankle boots. For work this dress requires a jacket or cardi because of the back detail.
The back detail, nice for going out.
