I discovered this blog on Sunday and am addicted. It’s by Brenda McCreight, Ph.D., a Canadian therapist who has adopted 12 of her 14 children. Mr. Campbell and I have talked about adopting an older child (okay, I have talked about adopting an older child), but after my research on attachment disorder, I’m not sure I’m up to it. However, McCreight deals with variations of attachment disorder, OCD, ADHD, fetal alcohol syndrome disorder and more on a daily basis.

I’m only up to her June, 2008 entries. I find myself thinking about her family and what I would do in the situations she describes. This is an amazing resource for people who want a realistic picture of the ups and downs of adopting an older child. (Nothing after the jump.)
