There’s a silver lining for me behind the economic slowdown. I thought I’d have to wait until after New York Fashion Week in February to work with my patternmaker. However, it turns out that designers are being much more cautious regarding which designs they’ll move forward with, which means my patternmaker has time for me this week. Since my fit model Andrea (yes, I found a fit model through craigslist!) has time for me on Thursday, the three of us are meeting day after tomorrow to get started on my shirt. Yahooooo! It’s happening!
